Irwin HR was established to assist managers and business owners to build positive change and improve effectiveness and achieve greater results by introducing appropriate interventions, processes and systems. Our consultants have significant senior management experience, knowledge and skills in their respective specialist areas, making us best placed to support and guide other managers to further develop such skills. Our team has worked in both the public and private sector in the area of management, human resources, training and development and health & safety, gaining valuable insight and understanding the challenges and complexities at play. The extensive skill set of our team enables us to provide quality services, improve efficacy, support compliance and promote best practice in terms of people management, training and development and health & safety to achieve greater results.
Vivienne is the founder and Managing Director of Irwin HR. She is an Organisational Behavioural Specialist with almost twenty years’ experience as a senior manager in the public sector, where she has worked at service and corporate level. Vivienne is an experienced coach, mentor, mediator, facilitator, workplace investigator and trainer, with a background in nursing, operations and human resource. She has gained extensive experience working with multidisciplinary teams, managing a large workforce and multi- million budgets, which has provided her with first-hand experience of the demands and challenges faced by those working in complex, dynamic and constantly changing organisations. Vivienne uses this insight to support Irwin HR clients to build positive change through appropriate solutions that maximise potential and achieve results.
Charlie is a Sales, Marketing, Programme and Change Management Executive with over 20 years’ experience of building teams, delivering change and developing / delivering new solutions to market. The last 15 years of Charlie’s career have been at CEO/MD level, focused on start-up enterprises, developing the models for the companies to scale globally.
Finola holds a B Eng. (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering and Diploma in Industrial Studies from the University of Ulster, Northern Ireland. She holds an executive MBA from Columbia University Business School, New York and an MSc in Work and Organisational Behaviour from Dublin City University. She is an accredited Mediator specialising in workplace mediation and working with senior leadership teams to create alignment and develop team dynamics, is an Executive Coach and member of the Association for Coaches, and has qualifications in Psychometric Ability and Personality testing. Having over 20 years industry experience, holding various Engineering, Management and Senior Executive leadership positions, Finola has extensive training and experience in developing individuals and teams, strategy and business development and increasing organisational performance. She has managed global teams and organisations of up to 500 employees with multi-million-dollar budgets, both in international locations and in Ireland. By building strong teams, creating collaborative relationships, solid processes and focus on planning and execution, she has enabled multi-million-dollar cost reductions while enabling business growth and increasing employee and customer satisfaction.
Health & Safety Consultant
Jim is a graduate of the National University of Ireland Galway (NUIG) where he graduated with a BA Degree, majoring in Psychology. Jim graduated from NUIG in 2011 with a MA in Adult Education and Training. Jim is a skilled instructor with over 15 years’ experience in the design, delivery, and evaluation of training programmes. He is a qualified in QQI Risk Management and Assessment, and is a QQI qualified Health and Safety Instructor. Jim has over 35 years practical experience working in the Irish Defence Forces, with service in the Middle-East under the United Nations, and the Irish Prison Service, where he was a lecturer/trainer for 10 years in the Irish Prison Service College (IPSC). He has extensive knowledge of threat and risk management and uses this with his experience to develop and deliver training modules in; Intercultural, and Cross-cultural Awareness, Threat & Risk Averting Communication Training, Education and Mentoring, Custodial Psychology. Jim’s expert knowledge and skills in the field of Threat and Risk Management has allowed him to design and deliver bespoke training solutions for, Dublin Port Company, Royal College of Surgeons, Ireland, among others.
